In this audiovisual performance, Elsa Martinez and Mayeul·e Toulemonde deliver a contemplative experience, drawing a brutalist and textured soundscape. Ayant is a constantly evolving research on narrative composition, experimental music and new media aesthetics. Mayeul·e is driving an audioreactive realtime visual merging some of Elsa’s film with many 3D scans (using photogrammetry) – one of which is taken directly on site and processed right before the live performance. Liminal spaces of interaction and multisensorialities are dissolving in glitches, bugs, feedback loops, all kind sidesteps welcomed within organic, industrial echoes and synthetic ostinatos. On stage, the artists are experimenting materiological movement and postures, observing unreferenced shapes, flaws and the invisible materiality of digital objects. This space-time calls for a trance, where ambient sounds and textures are confronted to an optical conception of space emphasizing the structural evanescence of sound.
